Description

As part of a nationwide funding initiative by the Public Employment Service, employers in the health, social, and early childhood sectors can apply for financial support to further qualify their workforce. The aim is to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in nursing, social care, and early childhood education, and to strengthen the organizational development of companies. Eligible applicants include private companies, cooperatives, non-profit associations, interest groups, and foundations – public legal entities are excluded. Funding is provided for fully insured or on-leave employees as well as freelance contractors, provided that the desired training is listed in the official catalog of eligible qualifications. The program runs continuously until the budget is exhausted and requires a minimum co-financing of 25% of the total costs.

Eligible expenses include both course fees (tuition, materials, examination fees) and personnel costs for training time during paid working hours. The funding guideline covers up to 75% of these expenses, but no more than €30,000 per person and application. Approval requires submission of the complete original application no later than four weeks before the start of training to the responsible AMS office. Supporting documents must include the detailed schedule from the provider, confirmations of own funds or third-party funding (at least 25%), and, if applicable, copies of existing third-party funding commitments. By combining subsidies for course and personnel costs, this measure facilitates companies in implementing high-quality continuing education projects and contributes sustainably to strengthening the skilled labor potential in the social and healthcare sectors.
