Description

After-school care funding supports non-profit providers of private early childhood education institutions in Vienna in the development and expansion of their after-school care groups as well as groups of children in after-school care. The goal is to promote children and adolescents through reliable care structures and to relieve families. Designed as a grant, this funding instrument is permanently available and offers unbureaucratic financial assistance for initiatives in the fields of education, work, and social affairs. Applications can be submitted at any time, enabling flexible planning and ensuring the long-term security of care services.

A prerequisite for a positive funding decision is non-profit status in accordance with § 34 et seq. of the Federal Fiscal Code as well as the existence of a valid operating permit from the Vienna Child and Youth Welfare Authority for the respective after-school care group form applied for. Additionally, employment confirmations from the custodial persons for the minimum number of children to be cared for must be submitted. The after-school care groups must be open at least 25 hours per week to ensure high-quality care.
