Description
The HWK Fellowship Program of the Hanse Institute for Advanced Study in Delmenhorst offers outstanding international scholars, artists, and authors from all disciplines the opportunity to undertake research or work stays of three to ten months within an interdisciplinary community. The aim is to enable excellent research projects, intensify interdisciplinary exchange, and sustainably enhance the quality of scientific as well as artistic work. Participants benefit from a stipend-supported livelihood, access to regional research institutions, and a vibrant fellowship community that provides space for creative collaborations and profound reflection in an academic and creative environment.
Funding is provided for Regular Fellowships for PhD holders (PhD completed more than five years ago) and Junior Fellowships for those who have obtained their PhD within the last five years. Requirements include an international profile, a convincing project proposal, and residence at the Hanse Institute for Advanced Study for the entire duration of the stay. Selection is based on the criteria of scientific excellence, interdisciplinarity, and relevance to the program. Applications must include a project description, a curriculum vitae, proof of PhD, and, if applicable, proof of access to research facilities. The deadline for submitting all documents is July 15, 2026, at 24:00 CEST.
