IB Construction and Modernization Loans

The IB Construction and Modernization Loan of the State of Saxony-Anhalt offers low-interest financing for the construction, acquisition, or modernization of owner-occupied residential property. Private individuals can submit applications at any time without a fixed deadline to realize new construction projects, the purchase of residential properties, as well as repair and modernization measures including energy-efficient renovations. The funding aims to create comfortable and energy-efficient living space, strengthen local infrastructure, and anchor long-term climate protection measures in residential construction. The Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt (IB) acts as the lender, reducing the financial burden on households through subsidized interest rates and supporting investments in sustainable construction projects.

Eligible for funding are private households with residence or permanent domicile in Saxony-Anhalt who provide proof of acquisition or ownership of a home. The loan may only be used for owner-occupied residential property. Eligible expenses include construction costs for new buildings, purchase prices, costs for modernization and repair measures, as well as expenses for energy-efficient renovations. For the application, a completed application form, purchase contract or building permit, proof of land and land register status, as well as cost estimates and construction or modernization plans are required. Subsequently, proof of use must be submitted to document the appropriate use of the funds.
