Description

I Can Cook! is a nationwide initiative by the Sarah Wiener Foundation that provides free practical nutrition education training for pedagogical professionals and teachers in daycare centers and primary schools. The program qualifies participants as enjoyment ambassadors who playfully embed sustainable and health-promoting eating habits into everyday daycare and school life and inspire joy in cooking. Educational institutions, public sponsors, and also private individuals working as educators, teachers, or in similar pedagogical roles can register at any time and benefit from a flexible, supplementary offering. The Sarah Wiener Foundation provides the funding and thus supports the goal of strengthening healthy nutrition skills in children at an early stage.

The training program includes introductory and advanced courses, conducted both entirely online and in a hybrid format with in-person components. The core of the offering is a balanced mix of theory, practice, sensory exercises, and cooking activities that can be directly applied to participants’ daily routines. Upon completion, enjoyment ambassadors gain access to a digital portal with self-learning modules, recipe ideas, as well as hygiene and safety guidelines. Regular email prompts ensure continuous support and new inspiration. Registration is simple via an online form; dates and formats are continuously available and adapted to the needs of the institutions. This creates a low-threshold entry that sustainably strengthens nutrition education and fosters enthusiasm for cooking together.
