IFB Energy Loan Individual Measures

The IFB Energy Loan for Individual Measures supports private owners and leasehold holders in Hamburg in the energy-efficient upgrading of owner-occupied residential buildings with a building permit of at least 20 years. As a low-interest loan ranging from €10,000 to €75,000, the program specifically promotes modernization measures on the building envelope as well as the installation of heat pumps and solar thermal systems. The interest rate is fixed at 2% for 15 years, thereby enhancing the long-term planning security of renovation projects. Accompanying quality-assurance services such as construction supervision by experts, hydraulic balancing, and airtightness testing are also eligible for funding and ensure professional implementation in accordance with current efficiency and climate protection requirements. Expenditures for individual components of the building envelope, heat pumps, solar thermal systems, as well as necessary planning and inspection procedures are eligible for funding. Prerequisites for approval include a fully completed self-disclosure, income verification, proof of identity, financing and equity documentation, an exposé or draft contract, the current energy performance certificate, and a detailed offer for the modernization measures.
