IG Network Processing Costs

The IG Netz Settlement Costs funding is aimed at private individuals as well as non-profit organizations based in Vienna and covers the independent sectors of performing arts, music, and culture & media. As an ongoing direct subsidy in the form of a grant, it specifically supports the payment of social security contributions by artists and cultural workers in the professional theater sector. Under the framework of an agreement between the Arts Section of the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport and the IG Freie Theaterarbeit, the settlement fee functions as an incentive system to create socially insured employment in the independent theater scene. This funding instrument makes an effective contribution to counteracting precarious aging and ensuring stable conditions for contemporary artistic creation.

Only social security contributions paid by the beneficiaries within the framework of independent theater groups or as individual artists are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted year-round without a fixed deadline, thus ensuring flexibility and planning security for individual projects as well as ongoing ensembles. With a budgeted volume of 0.042 million euros per year, the sustainable establishment of modern forms of performance in the cultural landscape is promoted.
