Description
The IG-Netz supports independent professional groups and theaters in the performing arts sector in Burgenland, Carinthia, Styria, Tyrol, Vorarlberg, and Vienna with social insurance subsidies. The goal is to promote employment in the independent scene and counteract age-related precarity. The employer’s share of social insurance contributions for artists and production managers is subsidized. A subsidy of up to €300 per employment and month can be applied for. A prerequisite is an existing or granted subsidy from the federal government or one of the co-financing federal states (up to a maximum of €750,000 public total subsidy per year), which was granted in the last two calendar years or the current calendar year. Funding is continuously available; applications must be submitted by September 20 for the first half of the year and by March 15 for the second half of the year.
Applications are submitted exclusively online via the IG-Netz database. First-time applicants receive an invitation link for registration upon request. In addition to data on the subsidized employment relationships, documents such as the association’s registration excerpt, subsidy certificates including financial figures, pay slips of the relevant employees, payment receipts of social insurance contributions, as well as balance sheets and production evidence (programs, flyers, reviews) must be uploaded. IG-Netz calculates the subsidy amount based on the submitted documents and forwards the applications for payment within a few working days after approval by the federal and state governments. The funding is available indefinitely and provides independent theater and dance professionals with predictable conditions for professional employment.
