Description
The initiative funding of the abriporta Foundation enables non-profit organizations and, in exceptional cases, public institutions throughout Germany to receive uncomplicated support for projects with amounts ranging from €500 to €3,000. The focus is on initiatives in the areas of education, education for sustainable development, social cohesion and democracy, development cooperation, migration, vocational training and further education, work & social affairs, as well as agriculture & rural development. With a swift decision-making process of approximately two months after application submission, the foundation creates opportunities for excursions, action days, or informational events and helps small initiatives take the next step.
A prerequisite for funding is proof of non-profit status by submitting the exemption notice; newly established organizations may alternatively submit a provisional determination notice. Public bodies do not require a notice. Eligible expenses include travel costs, event and action day costs, as well as other supportive measures, provided the project purpose aligns with the foundation’s objectives. Evaluation is based on the fit with the foundation’s purpose and the completeness of the submitted documents. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and the application form is available online. In this way, the abriporta Foundation contributes to providing non-profit initiatives with prompt and unbureaucratic funding and visibility.
