Description
Expedition Future is an FFG initiative based in Vienna that promotes bold visions for a vibrant future. It supports disruptively conceived projects that fundamentally change markets, technologies, or social structures. The umbrella structure comprises five coordinated calls – START, INNOVATION, SCIENCE, CHALLENGE, and SCALING – enabling applications throughout the year. As a grant program, it places great emphasis on sustainable impact in social, ecological, or economic terms. Online applications are submitted easily via the eCall portal, minimizing bureaucratic effort. The funding targets radical innovations with the potential to solve complex challenges and open up new markets.
Supported are citizens, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions engaged in ambitious R&D&I projects. The decisive criteria are “disruption of markets,” “solving complex problems,” “radical technological leaps,” and “sustainable positive impact.” Applications require an online cost plan via eCall, a project description in PDF format, and all attachments for the electronic application. Submission deadlines vary by measure and begin with the application start on 05.06.2023. With support from the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Technology, this creates space for ambitious pioneers aiming to shape tomorrow.
