Description
Within the framework of the innovation promotion by the Vienna Business Agency, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from all sectors as well as start-ups located in Vienna receive financial support for the conception and implementation of novel products, technologies, and services. Projects with a minimum size of 30,000 euros and a maximum amount of up to 300,000 euros per project are funded. The funding rate ranges from 35% to 45% depending on the company size, with small enterprises receiving 45% and medium-sized enterprises 35%. The duration is limited to 24 months and covers personnel and material costs as well as external services (consulting, development, certification, patent application), investments in machinery, equipment and devices, prototype construction, as well as patents and intellectual property rights.
A prerequisite for application is the company’s registered office or planned place of business in Vienna. The submission period extends from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026 with four annual deadlines on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. For a complete application, a completed funding application, an application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, the most recent annual financial statement or income-expenditure statement, as well as CVs of the project management must be submitted. An independent jury selects the projects eligible for funding based on defined criteria. Accompanying free consultations and networking events are offered to support the implementation of innovative ideas.
