Description

The Innovation Promotion Program: Cooperation Projects in Tyrol supports the joint development of novel products, processes, and services through technology transfer. Funding is provided for cooperations involving at least three partners – of which at least two must be companies and a maximum of one research institution based in Tyrol – upon submission of a cooperation agreement. Participating organizations range from micro-enterprises and SMEs to a limited number of large companies, provided all partners hold a valid business license and have a location in Tyrol. Projects may have a duration of 12 to 24 months and must be submitted within the deadlines of 31 March 2026, 30 June 2026, and 31 October 2026. The minimum funding amount is 50,000 euros, and the maximum grant is 175,000 euros when involving a research institution.

The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant with a funding rate of 50% to 100% of eligible costs. For research institutions, personnel costs are recognized up to 100%, while all other expenses such as material costs or external services are recognized at 50%. Expenses from partners outside Tyrol are excluded. A minimum structure of 30% external services is mandatory. The following documents must be submitted with the application: application form, project description (Annex 1), project cost breakdown (Annex 2), and company data of project partners (Annex 3). With this funding, the State of Tyrol aims to strengthen innovation networks and transfer new technologies into the regional economy.
