Description
Innovation Fund III Rhineland-Palatinate is aimed at small, non-listed technology companies with an operating site in Rhineland-Palatinate, whose registration in the commercial register is no older than five years and which have not yet distributed any profits. The program provides silent or open equity capital of up to €2 million to strengthen the equity base and enable the development and market launch of pioneering products, processes, or services. Funding is provided primarily for research and development costs, market launch expenses, as well as investments in fixed assets. In addition to the degree of innovation and technological progress, economic potential and the creation of socially insured jobs are central evaluation criteria.
Funding Requirements and Deadline
The total financing of the project must be secured and meet the EU SME criteria. A high degree of innovation, scalable market potential, as well as sustainable return expectations and contract-compliant handling of the participation must be demonstrated. Applications can be submitted by companies and start-ups to the Investment and Structural Bank Rhineland-Palatinate (ISB) until 31.12.2026. Eligible projects undergo an individual due diligence review, after which decisions on grants are made within the framework of available funds. The state of Rhineland-Palatinate participates in the fund together with resources from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in technology-oriented business start-ups.
