Description
The funding program Innovation Vouchers of the BMWK (go-inno) supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the commercial economy and crafts nationwide in the preparation and implementation of product and technical process innovations. External consulting services provided by consulting firms authorized by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action are funded without a complex application procedure. The grant is provided as a subsidy covering up to 50% of eligible expenses – up to a maximum of €20,000 per calendar year. Consulting days are funded at up to €1,100 per day; the project duration is up to 12 months. Applications can be submitted at any time, once a written consulting contract and confirmation of contract-compliant service delivery are available.
The program aims to unlock innovation potential in SMEs with fewer than 100 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet total of no more than €20 million, thereby sustainably increasing competitiveness. A business location or branch in Germany and the presence of technological potential according to the EU SME definition are prerequisites. Services in the agriculture and fisheries sectors, consultations already subsidized elsewhere, as well as consultations related to sales topics are not eligible for funding.
