Innovation Impulse Burgenland – Funding for bb Bachelor's Programs in IT, Electronics, and Photonics

The Innovation Impulse Burgenland specifically supports Burgenland companies in the part-time qualification of their employees in the future technologies of IT, electronics, and photonics. This measure aims to strengthen the competitiveness of regional businesses and meet the demand for highly qualified specialists. The focus is on supporting part-time bachelor's degree programs, where participants can take 15 to 20 non-working days per semester. Up to three employees per company are funded with a semester-based flat rate of up to €2,000 – a total of up to €12,000 per person over the minimum study duration of three years. Thus, the program contributes to the digital transformation and the further development of modern electronics and photonics applications in the region.

Companies and start-ups with a registered office or planned business location in Burgenland can continuously submit applications from September 28, 2024. A prerequisite for funding is the relevant full-time employment of the students in the applying company as well as their registration with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund at the Burgenland site. The project duration is 36 months, during which only semester-based flat rates for the studies are recognized as eligible expenses. The Innovation Impulse aims not only to strengthen individual competencies but also to promote sustainable economic growth in Burgenland.
