Description
Every two years, the Karl Möller Foundation awards the Innovation Prize of the Lower Saxony Crafts Sector to particularly pioneering development achievements of small and medium-sized craft enterprises in Lower Saxony. In a multi-stage process, independent experts review the submitted projects for their degree of innovation, economic feasibility, and demonstrable benefit to the regional craft sector. Technical, organizational, or production-related innovations that have already been successfully tested in the applicant’s own company may be presented. Prize money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place honors outstanding contributions to research and development within the industry and thus promotes forward-looking impulses for the entire craft sector in the region.
Eligible to participate are companies headquartered in Lower Saxony that submit a complete application dossier in accordance with the guidelines. This includes a detailed project description, proof of innovation, and, if applicable, visual representations or sketches. The jury, led by the Heinz-Piest Institute for Craft Technology at Leibniz University Hannover, makes its decision independently and solely based on established evaluation criteria. The ceremonial award presentation takes place during a festive event and publicly highlights the honored companies. Thus, the Innovation Prize offers craft enterprises a platform to showcase impressive performance and gain recognition at the state level.
