Description

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate supports projects with an annual grant that implement the state integration concept and contribute to the equal participation of people with a migration background. Funded are projects aimed at the intercultural opening of institutions, strengthening a culture of welcome and recognition, as well as the accompaniment and support of immigrants and refugees. The focus is on measures for organizational development in associations and municipalities, training and further education of staff, the operation of low-threshold meeting places, and the co-financing of federal and EU funding access. The goal is sustainable integration, the expansion of voluntary engagement, and the promotion of social diversity in the social, health, and democracy sectors.

Recipients of funding are welfare association carriers, migrant self-organizations, municipalities, as well as other non-profit and public institutions based in Rhineland-Palatinate. Prerequisites for approval include professional suitability, verifiable prior experience, proof of overall financing, and subordination to specialist departmental funding; cooperative projects are preferred. Eligible expenses include fees for speakers, project-related personnel costs, travel expenses, room rentals, material costs, and an administrative cost flat rate. Measures already commenced or non-project-related costs are not funded. Applicants should submit the project description including the financing plan as well as information on quality control and impact pathways four to six weeks before the start of the measure. The annual application deadline is November 15.
