Interim Funding for Research Projects

The Foundation of the Support Association for Children with Cancer Tübingen offers interim funding for research projects in the field of pediatric oncology in Baden-Württemberg. Public and educational institutions eligible for funding can apply for a one-time grant to co-finance personnel positions at the University Children’s Hospital Tübingen for up to three months. The aim of this interim funding is to ensure the continuity and quality of intensive medical care and support for children with cancer when follow-up financing from third-party funders is not guaranteed. The funding is continuously available and focuses exclusively on personnel costs to retain valuable expertise at the clinic and prevent the discontinuation of ongoing research projects.

The support is aimed at researchers and clinical staff at the University Children’s Hospital Tübingen engaged in pediatric cancer research who require bridging due to a lack of follow-up funding. The foundation provides funding in the form of a one-time grant for a maximum of three months. Applications can be submitted at any time without fixed deadlines. This targeted interim funding prevents loss of knowledge and actively promotes the further development of innovative concepts in the fields of health, research & innovation, science, as well as work & social affairs.
