Description
The investment promotion for housing for 2 to 8 persons supports nationwide sponsors and providers from non-profit organizations, businesses, and public institutions in the planning, new construction, and modernization of small inclusive housing options for people with disabilities. With a non-repayable grant, the program aims to increase participation in social life through barrier-free, community-oriented structures. The funding offer covers investment and construction costs as well as necessary equipment measures and is explicitly aimed at projects housing 2 to 8 residents. Inclusion aspects, the needs in the respective social environment, and sustainability criteria form the main evaluation focuses to identify suitable projects and provide long-term support.
Applications can be submitted at any time and are made informally via a project outline with a cost plan and a current land register excerpt. Only one-time investment expenses are funded; operational or personnel costs are excluded. The continuous allocation ensures flexible project implementation and enables early planning security. By pooling regional and supra-regional expertise, the program contributes to realizing innovative housing concepts – from adaptable single rooms to shared living and social spaces. The funding makes an important contribution to promoting inclusive living in small units by reducing barriers, strengthening community, and enabling sustainable housing forms for people with disabilities.
