Description

The Jackstädt International Teaching Grants of the Dr. Werner Jackstädt Foundation offer educational institutions throughout Germany the opportunity to advance the internationalization of university teaching in the field of Business Administration. Funding is provided for closed block courses in the German-speaking region lasting from three days up to two weeks, in which innovative teaching and learning methods from foreign lecturers are integrated. The goal is to achieve multiplier effects, deepen university partnerships, and sustainably introduce previously little-known teaching formats into Bachelor’s, Master’s, and teaching-related doctoral courses. Eligible to apply are postdoctoral candidates, junior professors (W1), as well as professors (W2/W3 or equivalent) at German-speaking universities who conduct courses in the field of Business Administration.

Per application, a non-repayable grant of between €10,000 and €15,000 is available. Eligible costs include fees and necessary expenses of the lecturers as well as material resources for the preparation and implementation of the event. In the selection process, the degree of innovation of the teaching and learning methods, the expected multiplier effect, and the strengthening of university partnerships play a central role. Applications can be submitted at any time without specific formal requirements; a one-page project outline is recommended. Required documents include a cover letter or the completed application according to the call for proposals, as well as a concise project summary. The decision lies with the Business Administration Advisory Board, which meets several times a year. The Jackstädt International Teaching Grants promote “internationalization at home” and sustainably strengthen innovative teaching.
