Annual Call on a Social Issue

The Deutsche Bahn Stiftung gGmbH initiates an annual nationwide call for proposals on a changing social topic. The focus is on projects that strengthen coexistence in Germany: from educational offerings to measures for integration and initiatives in volunteering. Funding applications are accepted exclusively through the funding round published at the beginning of the year; applications outside this deadline will not be considered. With the fixed amount as a grant, the foundation specifically supports non-profit organizations committed to equal opportunities and democratic cohesion.

Only organizations recognized as non-profit within Germany are eligible for funding. Projects in the areas of vocational and further education, work & social affairs, as well as initiatives promoting intercultural dialogue and voluntary engagement, are supported. Essential requirements include the non-profit status and participation in the current call for proposals. Interested organizations and initiatives are invited to address the annually announced topic and submit innovative concepts to jointly create sustainable impulses for social cohesion.
