Annual and Semi-Annual Scholarships for Professional Artists

As part of the cultural strategy of the state of Vorarlberg, the Department of Culture supports professional artists with long-term scholarships. Annually, five annual and ten half-year scholarships are awarded, providing financial security over six to twelve months. With a total budget of around 510,000 euros, the initiative supports creative projects in the fields of visual arts, literature, music, performing arts, and interdisciplinary projects. The disbursements are made as non-repayable grants and enable participants to dedicate themselves intensively to artistic processes, free from existential concerns.

Funding is provided to professionally active artists residing and working in Vorarlberg. Proof of artistic qualification and independent professional practice is required.
