Description
The funding program "Jobbegleiter" of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration offers grants to support the integration of people with asylum and migration backgrounds into the labor market. This program promotes the deployment of professionally qualified personnel who work in the areas of acquisition, counseling, support, placement, and aftercare. Through the co-financing approach, up to 90% of the eligible personnel costs for these job companions as well as selected material expenses (a maximum of 15% of personnel costs) are covered. The grant is aimed at legally capable organizations with experience in qualification and employment promotion, such as municipalities or other public institutions, and requires a personal contribution of at least 10% of the total expenses.
At its core, the funding aims to sustainably facilitate access to the labor market for people facing integration barriers. The target group includes asylum beneficiaries over 25 years old, recognized refugees, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, persons with residence permits, asylum seekers with a good prospect of staying, as well as tolerated persons with employment toleration. Additionally, persons with a migration background and integration barriers who possess sufficient language skills may also be included in the funding. The demanding funding requirements are substantiated by submitting a current labor market policy statement from the local employment agency as well as supplementary letters of support. The involvement of qualified professionals ensures that counseling and support are provided in a target group-appropriate and effective manner.
The program generally requires applications to be submitted four to five months before the project start and follows a holistic approach that, besides individual counseling, also includes building networks with cooperation and network partners in employment placement. Through close collaboration with companies and relevant institutions, it is ensured that the offered integration measures optimally contribute to professional inclusion. Compliance with the funding guidelines and legal framework conditions guarantees an economical and goal-oriented use of funds. Overall, the funding represents valuable support to effectively accompany the sustainable transition of people with asylum and migration backgrounds into the labor market and thus make an important contribution to social integration.
