Description

The Josef Krainer Relief Fund offers a one-time financial aid to individuals residing in Styria to alleviate unintentional, temporary emergencies. Since May 7, 2013, permanently resident Austrians as well as EU, EEA, and Swiss nationals who have stayed in the region for more than six months and are permitted to live there permanently may submit an application. The grant covers essential needs and mitigates short-term hardships to provide prompt and unbureaucratic support to those affected. Awards are made on an ongoing basis and are not subject to fixed deadlines. Applicants receive a one-time payment after positive evaluation, the amount of which depends on the submitted documentation.

A primary residence in Styria is a prerequisite for successful funding, as well as proof of an unintentional, time-limited emergency. The Regional Office Directorate evaluates the submitted documents and makes the funding decision based on this assessment. A fully completed application, confirmed by the municipality of residence, all current income and expense proofs, as well as evidence explaining the emergency, must be submitted. The transparent, objective review of all documents ensures fair allocation and short processing times. Interested parties can find all necessary forms and application instructions directly from the responsible Regional Office Directorate, which coordinates the processing as the funding provider and is responsible for the substantive evaluation.
