Description

The Bergedorf-Bille Foundation for Social Integration sustainably supports children and youth projects in Hamburg-Bergedorf through its youth welfare program. In the neighborhoods where the Non-Profit Housing Cooperative Bergedorf-Bille eG maintains housing stock, neighborhood activities are encouraged and initiatives that contribute to social participation are specifically financially supported. With a grant awarded once annually or on an ongoing basis, measures are promoted that open up new perspectives for young people, strengthen community cohesion in the neighborhood, and enable creative, sporting, or educational offerings. The founder works closely with volunteers and complements her commitment through participation in citywide alliances such as the Partnership for Democracy Bergedorf.

Non-profit associations, interest groups, and providers of child and youth welfare services may submit applications, provided they implement projects in Bergedorf-West, Neu-Allermöhe, or other districts served by the housing cooperative. Requirements include a non-profit purpose, a clear focus on children and youth, and the localization of the project within the foundation’s neighborhoods. The ongoing application option allows for flexible planning and timely implementation of innovative offerings ranging from holiday camps to cultural workshops. By granting a subsidy commitment, initiatives are relieved and gain planning security. Interested providers can obtain detailed funding guidelines directly from the Bergedorf-Bille Foundation and may continuously submit their project ideas to sustainably support children and youth and strengthen social integration locally.
