Description
The YouthPerspectiveWork initiative of the Cross-Over Team Foundation targets young people in Bavaria who are at the sensitive transition between school and career. The aim is to provide preventive support to secondary school students in the municipalities of Fischbachau, Bayrischzell, Schliersee, Hausham, Rottach-Egern, Tegernsee, Bad Wiessee, Gmund am Tegernsee, and Kreuth, in order to prevent potential orientation difficulties or unemployment. Through tailored support measures and close collaboration between youth services, schools, businesses, and government agencies, a sustainable network is created that highlights and further develops individual inclinations, skills, and interests. In this way, the program supports the strengthening of self-esteem and facilitates the transition into training, qualification, or employment.
The ongoing awarding of grants enables educational institutions, public as well as non-profit organizations, to submit applications easily without fixed deadlines. A prerequisite is the implementation of projects at the aforementioned secondary schools and the participation of young people during the critical school-to-work phase. In coordination with school administrations and the respective municipalities, thematic priorities are set at the beginning of each school year; adjustments can be made during the year if necessary. Thus, YouthPerspectiveWork offers flexible and sustainable support that is directly oriented to the needs of the young people and actively contributes to their long-term integration into the labor market.
