Carinthian Women's Shelters and Violence Protection Centers

The funding supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in Carinthia in financing women’s shelters and violence protection centers. The goal is to ensure protection, safety, and temporary accommodation for women and their minor children who are threatened or abused by relatives or partners. In addition to accommodation, telephone and outpatient counseling services are provided, focusing on processing experiences of violence, developing new life perspectives, and assisting with administrative procedures, court appointments, and the search for housing and employment. Through cooperation with other institutions, a needs-based support network is established, which includes statistical surveys and documentation to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the measures.

Funding is provided to organizations that offer special temporary housing options and comprehensive care services for women and children affected by violence. A prerequisite is the submission of a completed application form, which can be submitted at any time without limitation. The funding is granted in the form of subsidies and is particularly relevant for projects in the fields of social affairs, women’s promotion, as well as child and youth protection. This financial support ensures that those seeking help have access to confidential counseling and safe accommodation regardless of age, religion, or origin. This enables new life plans and creates sustainable long-term perspectives for those affected.
