Campaign "I love my implant" / Becoming an ImplantSafe® Center

The campaign “I love my implant” by the German Oral Health Foundation advocates for lifelong health of dental implants. Through personalized preventive measures and predictive diagnostics, implants are kept inflammation-free for significantly longer periods. Dentists have the opportunity to be recognized as ImplantSafe® Centers and benefit from innovative screening procedures that detect bone loss up to 24 months before potential peri-implantitis. The initiative aims to double the average implant lifespan by using state-of-the-art testing methods while minimally altering established practice workflows. A current long-term study confirms the effectiveness of this procedure, which delivers chairside results within ten minutes, thereby proactively strengthening oral health.

Funding is provided to dental practices with implantology services as well as patients who prioritize the long-term preservation of their implants. Evaluation is based on the criteria of “degree of innovation in preventive diagnostics” and “sustainability of applied preventive measures.” Continuous application submission allows flexible participation, while the designation as an ImplantSafe® Center creates additional visibility as a qualified expert practice. By combining predictive diagnostics with targeted prevention strategies, peri-implantitis is avoided with up to 90% certainty. Thus, the campaign makes an important contribution to sustainable oral health and ensures the long-term security of dental implants.
