Description

The childcare subsidy of the Tyrol region is aimed at low-income families and provides a non-repayable grant for the costs of caring for children in day care organizations, children's groups, nurseries, kindergartens, and after-school care centers. Eligible for funding are custodial persons living in the same household as the child, receiving family allowance, and who cannot provide care themselves due to employment, education or training, or job seeking. Depending on income, up to 60% of the documented expenses are covered below the first income threshold, and 40% between the first and second income thresholds. Funding is possible for a maximum period of 12 months and is continuously available until December 31, 2027.

A prerequisite for an application is a primary residence in Tyrol, a household income below the specified upper limit, and the absence of childcare allowance or AMS assistance for children up to the age of 14. Submission requires proof of employment or education, an AMS confirmation in case of job seeking, a current household certificate from the municipality of residence, as well as a confirmation from the childcare facility. Funding applications can be submitted online at any time, with follow-up applications also possible. Through the transparent funding rate and clear guidelines, this program supports families in reducing the financial burden of qualified childcare and sustainably strengthening the compatibility of family and career.
