Child Village Sponsorship

The child village sponsorship of the Nepalhilfe-Irmgard Schlaeger Foundation enables continuous support for a flagship project in Bhakunde/Nepal. Through ongoing financial contributions, up to 140 disadvantaged children are provided with accommodation, meals, and medical care, as well as introduced to school and vocational training. Eligible sponsors include private individuals, companies, foundations, and non-profit organizations from Germany and Europe who wish to engage in development cooperation for children and youth. Interested parties nationwide can take on a sponsorship at any time, thereby making a sustainable contribution to improving living and learning conditions.

The sponsorship covers expenses for accommodation, meals, medical care, schooling, and vocational training. The mode of funding and conditions are regulated via a sponsorship form (PDF), which can be requested directly from the foundation. Through this targeted support, not only is basic care ensured, but also the long-term integration into the Nepalese education system and labor market is strengthened. The Nepalhilfe-Irmgard Schlaeger Foundation emphasizes transparent use of funds and regularly reports on progress in the child village. A sponsorship helps provide young people, regardless of gender, caste, or religious affiliation, with a perspective for a self-determined future.
