Description
With the Children's Dreams initiative, the DFB Foundation Egidius Braun, together with the men's national A-team, places a clear focus on the promotion of children and youth. The funding program is aimed at non-profit organizations that are sustainably and voluntarily committed to the welfare of children and young people. Through the disbursement of grants, a variety of projects are supported, ranging from educational leisure activities and youth exchange programs to sports inclusion initiatives such as wheelchair football tournaments. The acquisition of necessary aids, such as prostheses or wheelchairs, is also included in the funding practice. This initiative thus underscores the commitment to realizing concrete children's dreams and paving the way for greater social participation.
The funding of Children's Dreams is based on the fundamental requirement that all projects are non-profit and sustainable in order to achieve long-term positive effects in the care and development of children and youth. Special attention is given to initiatives that are primarily implemented by volunteers. With around 300 successfully supported projects at home and abroad, from leisure programs for disadvantaged children to innovative encounter formats, the initiative helps to cover diverse needs and provide individual support in socially disadvantaged areas. This broad strategy enables the promotion of both regional and nationwide projects alike and transforms children's dreams into real future prospects.
Applications for funding are accepted on an ongoing basis, allowing interested non-profit organizations to submit their applications directly to the foundation. The DFB Foundation Egidius Braun places great importance on projects being clearly structured and making a sustainable contribution to the social, cultural, and sporting development of young people. This funding instrument makes a significant contribution to promoting social engagement, with an impact that extends beyond regional to nationwide levels. The Children's Dreams initiative thus offers an attractive framework for realizing innovative projects that sustainably improve the quality of life for children and youth.
