Description
The Climate Protection Apprenticeship Training Bonus supports companies based in Vienna that offer newly established apprenticeships in climate-relevant professions for apprentices in their first or second year. The aim of this one-year funding is to strengthen the training of young professionals in the fields of education & training, climate protection, and energy efficiency. As part of the bonus, apprentice wages are subsidized, with an additional €1,000 bonus granted for female apprentices. The funding builds on the federal base funding and is provided as a non-repayable grant in two subsequent installments. Applications can be submitted year-round and free of charge.
Eligible for funding are companies that can demonstrate an active apprenticeship in a climate-relevant profession, with the apprenticeship starting for apprentices under 18 years of age. The funding period covers 12 months and exclusively includes expenses for apprentice wages. The following documents must be submitted with the application: confirmation of the active apprenticeship by the company, data verification via the apprenticeship information system of the Chamber of Commerce, and an insolvency check. This incentivized training initiative not only improves financial conditions but also strengthens young people's interest in sustainable occupational fields. Further information is available through the Transparency Portal of the City of Vienna.
