Description
SME Export Promotion Upper Austria and Salzburg: Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) headquartered in Upper Austria and with active membership in the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce or the Chamber of Architects and Consulting Engineers for Upper Austria and Salzburg receive non-repayable grants for the development of new or the expansion of existing international target markets. Funding is provided for trade fair participation and event involvement as well as marketing and public relations activities (max. 6 months) and consulting services. The goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic companies in the global environment and to implement measures in line with the Upper Austrian economic and research strategy #upperVISION2030. Funding applications must be submitted before the project starts and cover the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2026. A minimum interval of twelve months must lie between two applications.
Eligibility and Procedure: Eligible to apply are EU SMEs in the sectors of industry, trade & crafts, information & consulting, commerce, as well as tourism and leisure industries. A detailed project description including cost, financing, and timeline plans is required for the application. Funded expenses include verifiably incurred costs for trade fair appearances, communication measures, and professional consulting in the respective export market. The following documents must be attached: the original application including annexes, the guideline for the state funding program, the EU SME definition, the De minimis aid regulation, as well as the invoice list and final report. Payment is made after submission of all evidence and review by the Department of Economy and Research of the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government. Accompanying consulting services by the Export Center Upper Austria are a prerequisite for the recognition of the project.
