Description
The ESF-Plus program KOMPASS – Compact Support for Solo Self-Employed of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs provides nationwide funding for solo self-employed individuals with a maximum of one full-time equivalent employee. The goal is to secure their professional livelihood and increase the resilience of their business model through tailored qualification and further training measures. Interested parties can contact a regional service point to determine their individual qualification needs in a free initial consultation. Subsequently, a qualification voucher is issued, which can be redeemed within six months. Both business management as well as digital and professional skills are funded to strengthen market position and adapt to digital and ecological change.
The grants cover between 40% and 90% of eligible expenses depending on the region, but no more than €4,500 per measure. Eligible are solo self-employed persons residing and working in Germany who have been active in the market for at least two years and pursue their activity as their main occupation. The project duration is limited to six months; applications can be submitted continuously until 29 February 2028. Through this investment support, micro-enterprises have the opportunity to flexibly integrate targeted further training into their daily work routine and thus secure the long-term sustainability of their business.
