Description

The Brandenburg Gate Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, interest groups, associations, and educational institutions nationwide in the fields of culture, education, media, research & innovation, as well as social cohesion/democracy. Through an ongoing sponsorship process, it invites partners to submit innovative project ideas, exhibitions, events, or research approaches. The goal is to intensify cultural exchange and stimulate societal dialogue. Projects that make art and culture tangible, anchor aesthetic education in schools or extracurricular learning environments, and provide new impulses for democratic coexistence are funded. A prerequisite for funding is proof of the applicant organization's nonprofit status.

Interested associations and institutions seeking cooperative project development with the Foundation benefit from straightforward application procedures: applications can be submitted at any time—without fixed deadlines. The Foundation decides on the allocation based on thematic suitability and sustainable impact on social participation. This funding initiative strengthens networks, opens up perspectives, and promotes a vibrant cultural landscape throughout Germany. Through joint implementation steps, the Foundation and partners develop solutions that combine creativity, research, and commitment, thereby anchoring cultural heritage as a driving force for education and democracy in the present.
