Description

The Cooperation Offices of the Max Weber Foundation annually offer up to four one-year follow-up positions for researchers from the MWS foreign institutes with a nationwide focus. The aim is to intensify scientific networking between the humanities and social science institutes abroad and German universities as well as research institutions. Funded are projects that connect ongoing research endeavors of the foreign institutes with German universities, support outstanding early-career researchers, and prepare the continuation of academic careers in Germany. Remuneration is provided as a grant according to the personnel funding rates of the DFG for postdoctoral researchers and covers personnel costs for the twelve-month project duration. The internal call for applications takes place each November.

Eligible to apply are scientific staff members of the Max Weber Foundation foreign institutes whose current contract expires by the end of September of the year after next and who seek a follow-up position in Germany. Selection is based on the evaluation of application quality, scientific excellence, and the commitment of the host institution. Applications require a fully completed application form, a detailed project description, and a curriculum vitae.
