Funding objective

Description

The Creative Industries Market Entry funding supports Viennese companies from sectors such as architecture, design, art market, fashion, multimedia and games, publishing, music industry, as well as film industry in accessing new target and export markets. With a funding rate of 50% and a maximum amount of €50,000 per project, the program helps to overcome financial, regulatory, organizational, and cultural barriers to market entry. Requirements include a business location in Vienna, an existing creative company, a comprehensive market development and sales strategy, as well as a minimum project size of €5,000. Eligible costs include personnel expenses (including overhead), external services such as consulting or training, travel expenses, tangible and intangible investments (machinery, software, intellectual property rights), as well as material and supply costs. Ongoing operating costs, taxes, land and building acquisitions, artistic productions, or advertising placements are not funded.

Applications can be submitted continuously until December 31, 2026, with submission deadlines on March 31, July 31, and November 30, 2025. After application, the project must commence promptly; an advance payment of up to 50% is possible. Progress reports must be submitted semi-annually, and a final report including accounting is due within three months after project completion. Selection is based on economic effects, innovation orientation, social benefit, as well as climate protection and diversity by an independent jury. Required documents include the application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, the latest annual financial statement or income-expenditure report, and the project manager’s CV. The funding program sustainably strengthens the competitiveness and positioning of creative products and services from Vienna at the international level.
