Description
The Krupp Internship Program for Stanford Students in Germany enables enrolled Stanford students, as part of the Stanford Program in Berlin, to complete an exciting internship at a German host institution. The program aims to provide practical professional experience in Germany while deepening the understanding of Germany’s diverse culture, history, and society. Participants benefit from comprehensive sponsorship by the non-profit Alfried Krupp von Bohlen and Halbach Foundation, which covers travel expenses, accommodation, and, if applicable, a living allowance. Through close collaboration with local experts and companies, the interns expand their professional skills and establish valuable international contacts that enrich their future career paths. The combination of academic support within the Berlin program and practical work on-site ensures that students are well prepared both theoretically and practically.
Eligible for funding are exclusively enrolled students of Stanford University who actively participate in the Stanford Program in Berlin. Applications are submitted through the Berlin program office, which verifies the required proof of enrollment and program participation. The Krupp Foundation from Essen acts as the funding provider; since 1968, it has supported projects in the fields of science, education, arts and culture, as well as health and sports. By awarding internship placements, the foundation seeks to continue its tradition of promoting international understanding and enabling forward-looking educational initiatives. The program is aimed at all interested individuals who wish to expand their intercultural skills and gain well-founded insights into German working methods in an international work environment.
