Description
The "Cultural Science Funding" of the State of Upper Austria supports non-profit, public, and educational institutions with a focus on local history or culture in the implementation of their research and dissemination-related programs. Applications can be submitted continuously for multi-year projects, annual programs, ongoing operations, as well as for publications and individual projects in the cultural and humanities sectors. The aim of the measure is to substantially strengthen scientific work in Upper Austria, document research results, and contribute them to public discourse. Through the funding, knowledge is made accessible, regionally anchored topics are deepened, and the cultural identity of the federal state is sustainably promoted.
Eligible costs include operational expenses, project-related costs, as well as expenses for printing and publication. A prerequisite for funding is compliance with the guidelines of the Upper Austrian cultural mission statement, the Cultural Promotion Act, and the general funding regulations of the state. For the application, a completed and legally binding signed funding form, a detailed program description, and a complete cost and financing plan must be submitted. For annual programs, the financial statement of the previous year must also be provided; additional documents may be required depending on the funding category. The continuously open deadlines offer institutions maximum planning security and enable flexible project development.
