Cultural Funding South Tyrol

South Tyrol Cultural Funding is aimed at non-profit South Tyrolean cultural associations that bring Austrian artists to the region. As a permanent, ongoing direct funding program, this grant scheme strengthens cross-border cultural exchange as well as artistic education in South Tyrol. By financially supporting exhibition openings, concert series, theater productions, and similar projects, the regional cultural landscape is revitalized and the dialogue between Austria and South Tyrol is intensified. The Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research acts as the funding body with the goal of sustainably enhancing the performance and educational level of all participants.

Applications have been continuously possible since January 1, 2013, without a budget ceiling or deadline. The application must include a fully completed application form, a detailed project description, a comprehensive financing plan, and – in the case of personnel funding – a standardized job description. Furthermore, the general funding conditions and the guidelines for funding accounting must be accepted. Funds are granted in an economical, frugal, and appropriate manner; all documents must be retained for ten years. Thanks to the continuous open-ended nature of the funding, associations can plan their events flexibly and respond immediately to cultural opportunities.
