Description

The funding supports non-commercial cultural centers in the city and countryside of Salzburg in securing their annual operations through direct grants. The goal is to ensure comprehensive basic cultural provision, strengthen cultural mediation work, and offer local as well as regional artists continuous work and performance opportunities. The funds serve as contributions to the interdisciplinary annual program and are awarded based on medium-term funding agreements. Cultural centers act as places of cooperation, collaboration, and interdisciplinary exchange, where a diverse range of events is realized and both audiences and artists benefit equally.

Eligible recipients are non-profit organizations, interest groups, or associations based in Salzburg that can demonstrate a non-commercial annual activity. A prerequisite is the submission of a fully completed and signed funding application including a program description and detailed budget calculation; for first-time applications, the association’s statutes or extract from the register must also be attached. After completion, the use of funds must be documented by means of a proof of use form, annual financial statement or income/expense report with supporting documents, as well as an activity report. Applications for annual funding must be submitted no later than June 30 of the current year. This is intended to ensure transparent allocation of funds and promote the sustainable development of Salzburg’s cultural centers.
