Description
The funding competition Kunst.Klasse. of the non-profit Ravensburger Verlag Foundation is aimed at general education schools of all types in Hesse as well as in Bremen and Bremerhaven for the 2025/2026 cycle. Grades 3 to 8 are given the opportunity to realize artistic-aesthetic projects outside of regular lessons, in which students can discover and further develop their own talents without grade pressure. The focus is on creative afternoon studios, where teachers, external artists, and art educators experiment, paint, build, or perform together with the participants. The goal is not only to promote artistic skills through free creation but also to strengthen personal and social development. The initiative aims to address the lack of time for imagination and self-expression in the hectic school day.
Successful participation requires a project application submitted by the school administration or art education teaching staff. Funding covers personnel expenses, travel and rental costs, as well as expenses for materials, tools, and media, but not regular teaching costs, administration, or overhead. The project duration is ten months, the application period begins on January 15, 2025, and project start is possible from February 1, 2025. Key evaluation criteria are the strengthening of individual development opportunities, artistic quality, originality of the idea, and a convincing aesthetic learning offer. Applications must include a detailed project description and a financing plan. Through this support, a space is created where creativity can flourish without performance pressure, enabling students to confidently develop their own aesthetic positions.
