Description

The art school in the Hölzel House of the Adolf Hölzel Foundation in Baden-Württemberg offers an intergenerational access to painting, drawing, printmaking, and abstract art based on the principles of Adolf Hölzel. Private individuals of all ages – from toddlers to adults – benefit from a biannual rotating program of courses and workshops. In small groups, qualified art educators impart practical knowledge of color theory, design fundamentals, and experimental techniques. Whether an open art studio for youth and adults, age-appropriate offerings for children from two years old, or specialized courses in oil painting, abstract painting, and concrete art: diverse formats foster creativity and artistic self-confidence without prior knowledge. Monthly workshops such as “Wine & Art” or intensive holiday projects in cooperation with the International Bach Academy Stuttgart complement the regular program and create space for creative encounters in a historic setting.

Participation in the courses is done by completing the course registration form and submitting it via form, email, or phone. Eligible private individuals can submit applications continuously from February 23 to July 21, 2026. The program duration extends over six months, during which continuous creative impulses are provided. Through the intergenerational approach, the funding not only strengthens individual artistic skills but also enlivens the Hölzel House as a vibrant meeting place for art enthusiasts and promotes engagement with modern art. Interested parties are encouraged to explore the diverse offerings and develop their own creativity under professional guidance.
