Description

The state labor market program "Women in Work – Strengthening Families" of Saarland supports measures that assist women in re-entering the labor market while simultaneously contributing to the long-term prevention of child poverty. The program targets public institutions, companies, interest groups, as well as other associations based or established in Saarland that provide counseling and support services for women and family-strengthening measures. Projects supported include, for example, supra-regional network centers, regional counseling services for professional (re)integration, qualification measures, and socially oriented prevention networks. Key factors are contributions to equality and the compatibility of family and career, with consideration given to the relevant counseling techniques and experience in working with women in special life situations, as well as the professional qualifications of the personnel involved.

The call for proposals is subject to clearly defined requirements that ensure substantive and formal compliance with the funding principles. In addition to a short application, a detailed application, and supplementary documents such as project conception, personnel lists, and cost and financing plans, all participants must demonstrate sufficient experience in women's counseling. The Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Women and Health of Saarland, as the lead funding agency, also coordinates the application process and reviews the eligibility of the requested measures. This grant program not only strengthens the professional prospects of women but also contributes to sustainable social cohesion in the regions by proactively addressing the needs of families and children.
