Description
The state contribution to the Carinthian Education Construction Fund supports public authorities in Carinthia in sustainably expanding and modernizing educational infrastructure. Funding is provided for the provision, renovation, and upgrading of school buildings – from primary schools through secondary schools and vocational schools to music schools – as well as for early childhood education and care facilities. Through a permanent and unlimited grant scheme, gymnasiums and workshops as well as group and activity rooms in daycare centers are to be designed in a contemporary and safe manner. This measure thus makes a central contribution to the qualitative development of Carinthia as an educational location.
The main applicants are municipalities and public bodies that assume the tasks assigned by the Carinthian Education Construction Fund Act. A prerequisite for the grant is the conclusion of a financing agreement between the State of Carinthia and the Fund. The annual provision of funds is made proportionally through state and municipal contributions as well as income from fund resources. Applications can be submitted continuously and without binding deadlines. This enables flexible planning and paves the way for future-oriented investments in school and care infrastructure.
