Description

The state contribution for after-school care centers in Upper Austria is aimed at public institutions as well as non-profit organizations that operate child education and care facilities in accordance with the provisions of the Upper Austrian Child Education and Care Act. This direct grant funding is intended to support legal entities in ensuring a needs-based offer in the areas of children and youth, education, social affairs, as well as training and further education. A prerequisite is the legally compliant management of the facility, the legally prescribed quality standards, and an appropriate proportion of working time of the educational professionals for preparation, coordination, training, and parent counseling. The location municipality or the company concludes a private law deficit agreement to cover the financial shortfall in order to guarantee long-term financing. Applications must be submitted to the Upper Austrian Education Directorate by no later than December 1 of the previous year.

For the application, in addition to the fully completed funding application, the electronic transmission of records of the children's attendance times during the reference period via KBEweb is required. The Upper Austrian Education Directorate assumes professional and legal supervision to ensure compliance with legal requirements as well as pedagogical quality. The state contribution for after-school care centers not only covers ongoing operating costs but also promotes the further development of care facilities. This funding program strengthens the local educational and social landscape, relieves municipalities and legal entities, and contributes to the sustainable securing of a high-quality care offer throughout Upper Austria.
