- Service and salary regulations for educational staff according to applicable regional legal provisions
- The local municipality or company must commit by means of a private law contract to cover any deficit if it is not itself the legal entity

Description
The state contribution for crèches in Upper Austria is aimed at legal entities of non-profit organizations, public institutions, as well as companies that operate early childhood education and care facilities. In the intersection of children and youth, education, work & social affairs, and vocational training & continuing education, this grant contributes to meeting the local demand for child education and care. Emphasis is placed on compliance with the legal standards according to the Upper Austrian Child Education and Care Act to ensure quality-assured support and care of children under three years in crèches.
A prerequisite for approval is the lawful management of the facility, the service and salary-related treatment of the educational staff, as well as adequate time allowance for educational professionals for preparation, further training, coordination, and parental counseling. Furthermore, a demand-oriented offer in accordance with §§ 16 and 17 must be ensured; in the case of external sponsorship, a private law coverage agreement must be submitted. For the application, a fully completed funding application and records of the children's attendance times (entry in KBEweb) are required. The documents must be submitted to the Education Directorate of Upper Austria by no later than December 1 of the preceding calendar year. This funding sustainably strengthens the infrastructural and pedagogical orientation of crèches and meets the increasing demand for care in Upper Austria.
