Description
The state foundation "Help for Mother and Child" supports private individuals in Bavaria who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in an acute emergency situation with triplets, quadruplets, or quintuplets – possibly as single parents. A one-time allowance of 515 euros is granted for each multiple birth child; additionally, a monthly subsidy for up to 12 months to finance household assistance may be approved if family care is not covered by the private environment. The grant is provided as a non-enforceable subsidy and supplements priority statutory benefits, provided the gross family income is below the limit set in § 53 No. 2 AO and the assets per member do not exceed 15,500 euros. A positive recommendation from a local authority or a welfare organization as well as willingness to cooperate in a sustainable problem solution are prerequisites for funding.
The application can be submitted at any time, provided the applicant has been residing in Bavaria for at least six months. To verify the application requirements, copies of the birth certificates of the multiples, current income and asset statements of all household members, a letter of endorsement from the responsible authority or a welfare organization, as well as the fully completed funding application must be submitted. The decision is based on evidence of the emergency situation through no fault of the applicant, compliance with income and asset limits, and institutional endorsement. The goal of the state foundation is to provide financial relief and to offer affected families a stable basis for everyday life.
