LEADER Funding (Municipal Association Konz)

The LEADER funding of the Verbandsgemeinde Konz makes a decisive contribution to the sustainable development of rural areas in Rhineland-Palatinate by supporting creative project ideas from business, tourism, nature conservation, as well as agriculture and forestry with financial grants. Local actors – from companies and associations to start-ups and private initiatives – can submit applications to the regional management at any time. The focus is on implementing the regional development strategy: projects are funded that make a tangible contribution to strengthening location quality, energy efficiency, and climate protection or that advance innovative approaches in consulting and business financing. Two central criteria play a role in the approval process: the demonstrable benefit for regional development and alignment with the established development strategy. Eligible for funding are all entities with headquarters or activities in the Verbandsgemeinde Konz that have positioned their project within the defined thematic fields. Nature and environmental protection projects, energy-saving measures, as well as investments in tourism offerings or agricultural innovations are equally considered. The continuous submission option enables flexible project planning and implementation. With the grant model, the Verbandsgemeinde Konz sustainably supports local structures and promotes meeting spaces, economic impulses, and ecological improvements in the Saar-Moselle region.
