Description
The funding program of the Vienna Business Agency is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises as well as business founders with an establishment in Vienna and supports projects that advance sustainable social innovations. The focus is on initiatives in the areas of health, education, employment, climate protection, environment, diversity, social cooperation, and integration. Eligible costs include personnel expenses, consulting and development services, material and supply costs, investments in machinery and equipment, prototype construction, as well as structural measures. With a funding amount of up to 150,000 euros per project and a maximum rate of 50%, new products, business models, and collaborations are intended to make a measurable contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and initiate positive societal change.
The project duration is up to 24 months, with a minimum investment of 20,000 euros required and compliance with de minimis regulations. An advance payment of up to 50% of the approved funding amount is possible; biannual progress reports must be submitted in the interim. Evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, contribution to sustainable development, and social relevance. The online funding application can be submitted by the respective four submission deadlines until December 31, 2026. Required documents include a fully completed application with application confirmation, the de minimis declaration, as well as the latest annual financial statement or an income-expenditure statement. An independent jury makes the selection decision within three months of submission and provides professional support during implementation. This program offers companies in Vienna rapid and tailored funding to translate impactful ideas into practice.
